Migration & border violence

HomeOur workMigration & border violence

Migrants, asylum seekers and refugees face abuses of their fundamental rights as a result of the structures of inequality that compel them to migrate, and the unequal border regimes which often deny them the freedom to do so safely and with dignity.

Our legal strategies, pursued in collaboration with migrant communities and non-governmental organisations, challenge the fast-changing policies that result in various forms of violence being perpetrated against this population.

We use a variety of innovative legal methods–ranging from human rights and refugee law, to international criminal law–to challenge border violence and advocate for mobility justice.
